post exams - killing time

and blathering on my blog is a sure sign that I’m looking for ways to kill time. well, scratch that, i do know a lot of ways to kill time….some more productive that others.

plus, i actually have a few things i need to complete before leaving nz for the summer holidays. like pack. and clean my room. and stuff.

but back to my list of “this is how eve kills time” [from somewhat useful to well-nigh useless]:

i am sorta-not-really-maybe-a-little working through the problems in project euler. im up to problem 11. yay. go me. (and yeah, its sad cause i suspect some ppl could actually finish problems 1 to 20 before breakfast).

oh, and tance quite kindly suggest another “programming problem” site. well. okay, its a assignment list for intro to programming students in nus, but, you know, still as effective in killing time.

theres always blog- and forum- lurking and/or random posting of comments. which ive been doing oftener than ever. see, my forum cycle goes something like this: lurk for months, then flurry of posting lasting maybe 3 week, then back to lurking. so….. its quite hard to get hold of me in forums.

also, the completing of random flash games - which can quite reliably eat up endless hours. i mean, really.

and theres fanfiction (always a surefire way to kill time) and comic reading, and downloading of books and facebook and blogging and……..

damn. all of these, in some way or another, involve to computer. *headdesk*

and as an aside, i just spent about 3 hours fixing one table (one. table. damnit.) for a friend.

a html table. not the four-legs-and-a-flat-surface table.

my html/css skills have clearly rotted. but thats not too surprising cuz i never really did much of that stuff anyways.

(dont mention that my now long dead website used to have a javascript that threw endless popups - infinite looping is ….. well, used to be fun)
