yet another pointless blog…

This delegate regrets would like to extend an apology to the floor for not updating her blog in the previous two weeks.

She would also like to commend the Chairs especially Mary for being especially patient with ECOSOC’s new members (first time at MUN) of which this delegate is one of.

She also thanks fellow delegates for helping her out in the previous amazing four days of the conference.

Forum : ECOSOC (Eve’s Comittee of Social Creatures)
Question : The problem of depriving Eve of Internet Access for any prolonged period.

Noting that Eve fully utilises the Internet for various purposes;

Recalling the incidents that happen the last time she was deprived of Internet for a period of more than two weeks;

Refering to the previous blog posts;

Remembering that this is the first resolution to be posted on this blog;

1) Calls for the provision of the Internet for Eve in all of her permanant residences, through ways such as but not limited to

a) Dial Up internet connections,
b) Wireless Networks for use on her laptop,
c) Broadband connections;

2) Requests that fiction books be provided for Eve in cases where it is impossible to obtain an Internet connection in order to

a) Prevent Eve from going bored,
b) Provide her with a useful occupation as a replacement for the Internet;

3) Suggests that friends, with collaboration with the appropriate third parties, invite Eve out so as to expose her to the outside world not related to computers, so as to

a) Reduce the dependancy of Eve on the Internet, by bringing her out to see places of interest,
b) Forge closer bonds between friends,
c) Generate income for local businessmen, by frequenting their outlets;

4) Proposes for a gathering of as many as possible of Eve’s aquaintances, friends and family, to be held in a venue that would provide a condusive place for socialization, to be conducted annually, so as to remind her that her virtual friends do not only exist on the Internet;

5) Decides to remain actively seized on the matter.

This delegate would like to call upon all members of ECOSOC to further amend the resolution so as to make it the best it can be. She feels that the resolution deserves to be passed as it would fully cover all aspects of the question.

Comments on golf courses, the lack of clause 7, the losing (and subsequent finding) of "my little guy" as well as any other jokes pertaining to THIMUN Singapore 2 are welcome.

She further asks that everyone with her msn add her as soon as possible so as to facilitate further discussion.

This delegate is open to any and all points of information as well as any notes with regards to the question on hand as well as any other issues.

The delegate yields the floor back to the chair.
